MG 1838 Enmarcado

Siempre llevamos los cuadros a enmarcar al mismo taller.

La propietaria tiene mucha idea y da muy buenos consejos. Además, tienen gran variedad de marcos para escoger, a cuál más bonito, por lo que cada vez nos pasamos allí un buen rato.

Después de probar no sé cuantos, nos decidimos por éste. Lo encontramos sencillo y original.

MG 1838 al completo / MG 1838 Completed

Acabo de terminar el MG 1838. Me ha costado casi dos meses finalizarlo pero ha valido la pena.

Ha sido muy agradable de bordar aunque alguna cenefa me haya dado un poco de guerra!!

Sus medidas finales son 42 x 27 cm. Lo llevaré a enmarcar mañana mismo. El otro dia que fuí a llevar el Quaker Alphabet de La-D-Da a enmarcar, le eché el ojo a un marco bastante ancho de color marrón y con un aire antiguo que espero que le vaya bién.

I have just finished the MG 1838. It has been nearly two months work but it is worth to stitch although some parts have been quite complicated.

It measures 42 x 27 cm. Tomorrow I'll take it to my framer's shop. Last week I went there to get the Quaker Alphabet by La-D-Da framed and I saw a very wide brown frame that I hope will fit it .

MG 1838 a la mitad! / Half MG 1838!

Después de algún que otro paréntesis, he llegado a la mitad de este trabajito que es una delicia.

Mientras lo estoy bordando voy dando vueltas a que en los próximos dias, me gustaria hacer algo relacionado con la Navidad y no acabo de decidirme.....

Alguna propuesta , plis???

I have just finished half of the MG 1838 work. It is being a delicious sampler.

While I am stitching it I am thinking about doing something for Christmas but I haven't just decided...

Any proposals, please???

Sección 8 Terminada / Section 8 Finished

Poco a poco voy avanzando el Sampler... como se aprecia en la foto esta sección está bordada casi toda en back stitch y poquito punto de cruz.

Ya sólo falta la sección 9 para llegar a la mitad del bordado.

Step by step I am stitching the Sampler... as you can see in the picture, this section has been stitched mainly in back stitch and just a little cross stitch.

When I finish next section, I will have reached half of the work.

Sección 7 Terminada / Section 7 Finished

Esta sección ha sido realmente fácil, pero los dias laborables no dan para más...
Voy a por la 8 que me parece que me va a dar guerra!!

This section has been really easy but my working days don't get more from....

On the contrary I think section 8 will be much more difficult so let's get start it!!

Sección 3 Terminada / Section 3 Finished

Terminada la sección 3 y dadas las características de mi bastidor, he decidido pasar a la 7 que corresponde a la parte derecha superior.

Si sigo a este ritmo... tendré que empezar a pensar en qué haré cuando lo termine, aunque aún queda para un buen rato!!

Finished Section 3 and because of my stand's characteristics, I have decided to stitch section 7 right now. It belongs to the top right hand corner.

If I am able to stitch at this rate of work... I will have to think about my new project after this one!!

Sección 2 Terminada / Section 2 Finished

Como podeis ver para la realización de esta 2ª sección sólo se necesitaban dos colores de AVAS. El 1715 corresponde al tono azul y el 2136, al verde oscuro. Y sigo opinando que mi cámara de fotos no le hace justicia..... Empiezo la 3ª sección esta misma noche!!!

As you can see I have only used two different colours of AVAS . Number 1715 for the dark blue and 2136 for the dark green one. And I keep thinking my camera takes pictures not good enough..... I'll start section 3 tonight!!

MG 1838 Reproduction Sampler / Section 1

Este es el MG1838 Reproduction Sampler de Wild-Heart Designs del que ya os hablé en el post anterior.

Sedas AuVer a Soie propuestas sobre un lino Weeks Dye de 35 ct color Angel Hair.

Es la primera vez que uso estas sedas y MMMmmm también son un goce.

En cuanto al lino, decir que cada vez aumento más el count y suerte de la fantástica lupa Daylight que Lluís me regaló la pasada primavera. Mis ojos lo agradecen. Sin ella no me sería posible bordar con estos counts (y aún no me he atrevido con el 40!!!).

AuVer a Soie silks on a 35 ct Weeks Dye linen colour Angel Hair.

It is the first time I am using this kind of silks and I also like them very much.

Every time I am using a higher count linen. I was so lucky Lluís gave me a fantastic Daylight lupe last spring. Without it I could not be able to stitch with these counts (and I haven't dared with 40 ct!!)
